Good News/Bad News

After the auto-x this weekend.... I have good & bad news (in case anyone cares)

Good news:

The 86 MK1.22 is awesome. Engine is 100% stock other than I/H/E and pulls darn hard. I put up times almost identical (within 0.1 seconds) that I also posted in MY 87 hardtop ae101 4agze car which has way more suspension work. 2 people drove this car for 8 runs each and then I added 3 more runs (19 on Saturday). Then took the car on 6-7 runs on Sunday / Practice day along with 2 more people taking some runs (them driving) without a hitch. I'm really impressed with this swap and look forward to maybe a few other mods.

Bad news:

the 87 Hardtop had a rough day on Saturday and spun a bearing. I do no plan to fix it... either sell the car as is (little interest in it so far) or part it out. Don't wanna part out a good car, but... if the market deems that the parts are worth way more than what someone is willing to pay then I'm not going to lose money just because others think I shouldn't part out a hardtop chasis.

Well, great on the MK1 2.2, but bummer on the spun bearing.
I don't know which way you'd come out ahead.

Well I was curious if my pricing was correct on some of the parts.... and I asked on the OC..... seems like I was about right...

Looks like I can get my asking price by selling: supercharger parts, struts, steering wheel/adapter, the 8.9:1 pistons, header, and a few other bits.... then use some of the parts from it on the 86 (front end parts especially), use the megasquirt on my ae92.... and then sell the chasis off.

if there's no real interest in the car selling whole by this weekend then I will probably start to part her out, unfortunately.
