Me again...
Car: 1991 3SGTE Swapped, 60k on engine
Compression: 150-155 on all Cyl. (Compression test verified)
Cam Timing: On (Visual verification)
Ignition Timing: 10* (Timing light verified)
Vacuum Leaks: None (Boost leak check verified, holds pressure)
Vacuum at Idle: 12-15
Vacuum at Cruise: 12-15
Wideband Numbers: Lien at idle, 12-14 at cruise, >11 with 50%+ throttle
Warning Lights: None
Check Engine Light: Off
Problem:
Obviously I'm not getting enough vacuum, which could be the main reason why I'm not having good acceleration. Everything else checks out. I was talking with a friend and he said my valves could need to be reshimmed? My car does start to pull and run as it should the higher I get up in boost. Higher as in, 5psi+.
Any other ideas? I've pretty much gone over any major mechanical issues and everything tests clear. Plugs are new, plug wires are new, dizzy cap and rotor are new.
I still think if I find/fix my loss in vacuum, I fix my problems. Need ideas.
UPDATE:
While going for a quick ride with a friend and letting it sit and idle, he noticed a weird sound, or a miss, from my exhaust. I also noticed that after the car got up to operating temps, it started to pull enough vacuum. Is it enough? Why would it pull more now that it is up to operating temps?
Anyways, is this a miss? Could my new plugs be fouled already? I had some pretty rough running/idling conditions before I got the car running up to this point. The plugs don't have but probably 5-10 miles on them, but at least 45 minutes of idle time.
Also, while boosting, my boost kept climbing and climbing.. I don't have any leaks from my wastegate since I fixed the last ones, unless more were created. Any ideas on this?
