Just got a tune up, now engine idling weird

I did the cap, rotors, spark plugs, and wires today. All the parts are oem from toyota, the person said the spark plugs are already pre-gapped so i didnt gap them and just installed it. The problem is after this my idle goes to like 700RPM then goes to like 1500RPM up and down. What can be wrong?

Also my check engine light came on, toyota said its the O2 sensor, he could only find 1 , but the computer said there is 2 o2 sensors. Is it 1 or 2? O2 sensor is ordered and will be done saturday

and also when i give it a lil rev, its goes 1000rpm to 2000rpm and drops up and down.

Does the O2 senor have anything to do with this? what is the main purpose of the o2 senor?
This is a 91 NA

Thanks!!

Ya, .35 is a little much. Toyota recommends .31 or .32, I would go with that size. That's what I gappen mine at and it's running good. .28 should also work too.
