MKI MR2 and ae101 levin GTZ similarities?

as the title says, i want to know/find out the similarities between the MK1 MR2 and the ae101 levin GTZ, such as enginewise for the 4a-gze and for the gearbox/drives.
how is the inner CV's built in the mr2, are they also 6ball-bearings pressed into the gearbox "cup"?spline count?and spline count for the outer cv (is it also 26?) and diameter?

anyone with info or even a link to a comparison page of both vehicles would be really appreciated guys and gals
mainly as parts are nigh-on impossible and ridiculous prices then to match here in ireland

the ae101 gze's.... the engine itself is completely different..... different rods (size), different pistons (rings and compression), different head (smallport... which also means different intake manifold), different supercharger pulleys, and different electronics.

the ae101's came with an E58 gear box. being in FWD form they have an equal length setup on the passenger side that the MR2 doesn't have. They also don't use the stub-shafts that MR2's use.... they're more like a standard CV shaft with both splined ends on the shaft you buy/install (IE doesn't unbolt).

The E58 gearbox came with an LSD as an option... these use different shafts.

so what differences are there in the ae101 smallport and mr2 bigport heads?would it be worthwhile for me looking for a bigport head, as i'm planning on a mild twincharge setup in the future on my engine.
i'm new to gze ownership and looking to collect up more info on them before i can draw up a battle-plan for mods lol

oh right, so i can actually directly interchange the drivers' drive and the passenger drive as they're the same length?i actually did think they looked a bit similar but wasnt expecting that lol.

dont worry, my car and the aprts-donor car a mate has both are lsd-cars

First of all... ditch the idea of twincharge..... it was a good concept in the 80's and early 90's when turbo's were laggy..... newer turbos/designs (and the correct turbo chosen for your application) will outperform a twincharged setup.

The smallport heads are typically preferred to about 250hp.... (that figure tends to change on who's talking). A mildly ported smallport with OS valves would probably out perform a bigport in higher HP figures.... partially due to velocity in the ports. Bigport heads were designed with the t-vis system in mind... on the gze's they just worked around it and left the heads as is....

as for the axles... no... an equal length axle setup on a 101 gze is still a long axle... it has a short straight shaft with a bearing carrier that bolts to the block... then the inboard shaft is just after the bearing.

well then with 250bhp i reckon i should be good with that head so.

oh, and will be staying with the idea of twincharging, as said i wont be going balls out with it, but a mild enough spec for 250-270bhp, and will have a td04l lying around that i'm getting free off a mate which is laggy on the 4e-fte so cant do too well on a 4a-ge either
