Want to turbo

I'm piecing together a turbo kit for my '02 Spyder, and the main thing I'm wondering, is has anybody boosted with the factory plastic manifold, or do I need to get an aluminum manifold from a corolla?

Why not just get a complete turbo kit that has been tested?

Personally, I would not trust a plastic manifold under boost.
Besides the added pressure, there's also the added heat.
MonkeyWrenchRacing is a good source for turboing the Spyder also.

The kits they sell at MonkeyWrenchRacing don't come with an intake manifold, nor do they suggest buying one.

That would be up to the individual.
Would you trust a plastic manifold under boost?
If the Corolla come with a metal/aluminum manifold, it should be pretty easy to find a used one. Maybe have the runners ported and polished.
