as title? i.e. is anything like to go on an 80K car and if so can it be expensive?

There is no such thing as a TT MR2. At least not from the factory. Are you asking about reliability. It's a Toyota.... if treated right it will go 250k+ miles.

so i guess its an engine out jobby due at around 80,000 miles?

So the turbo is strong and doesn't fail after say 100K?

that all depends on the previous owner(s) and how they took care of the car....if they maintained it properly u shouldn't have any problems..but if they beat the crap out of it then u have to be a bit weary b/c after all the car is still more then a decade old....

take car of the car and do the basic maintenance after you get it, then you should be good for a long ride. i've had toyotas with 200+K miles and still running strong. I've seen mr2 with almost 200K miles and still running strong. i guess it's just how you take care of a car...

i just replaced the engine in my mr2 at around 190000 miles, and it was beat ...now thats its mine though, shes getting taken care of

if you maintain the MR2, however, it will remain totally relaible and faithful (barring some freakish occurrence) ...
