front shocks

im changing my front shocks tommorow and im looking at some pics before i do it...do i reallie need to drain the brake fluid? i bought some kyb shocks and on my stock shocks i see a bracket that holds the stablizer link and on the kyb's there is no bracket that will hold it...if u got ne info let meeh noe...or nethign to make the job easier
