has anybody replaced front and rear struts? Aftermarket dealers have two options, cartridge or sealed. Can anyone tell me what to use on a 91 non-turbo mr2,or how to tell what I need.

If you buy "Sealed", generally yo uare getting an antire assembly.

With the MR2, you only need the actual cartridge. You dissassemble the strut assemble and just replace the cartridge.

The only sealed strut option you have are bilstein struts.
kyb, tokico, koni, and I guess toyota sell replacement cartidge insert with dampening adjustability(except oem.)
