Unhappy 2nd gen. retractable mirrors

first i would like to say i am new to the forum and if i dont follow a certain protocol i apologize.

i am attempting to install the famous "JDM" retractable mirrors on my "USDM" MRDeuce. main problem is that the harnesses are different.

"USDM" power mirrors have a 3 wire harness set-up, however the "JDM" retractables have a 7 wire set-up. makes sense, but creates my current problem.

i guess my question would be has anyone out there done this conversion before and could i have some help to assist me? i haven' been able to get any info from japan let alone a "wiring diagram" for the 94+ or later "JDM" MR2, which had the retractable set-up. Toyota here in NY is no help either.

i would appreciate all or any help i can receive for this project and thank you in advance for your time.

thanks,
mike rosa

p.s. i have a black 91 n/a t-top pretty much stock. it is my second MR2 (had a first gen.). i am planning to do a turbo conversion b4 the new year. looking into "JDM" engines....any insight? thanks again.

You'll need the relay box and the switch.

awesome! thanks for the reply.

just what i thought, but would you know how to come about a relay? i think i won't have any luck at a junkyard, since it is a "JDM" part. the switch i have,....came with the mirrors.

as far as the wiring itself, would you happen to have or know of the wiring diagram for these mirrors? i am sure the relay has some kind of number markings or something, but i would still need to know the wiring scheme.

i was really syked about doing this upgrade, and then this. i am sure i can figure it out with some help. thanks again.
