JDM sensors ?'s

Alright, I'm sure Justin is getting a little tired of me bugging him all the time and I can't get access to the main board over here in Iraq. I've read all the posts regarding ECU's and sensors, but I still have some ?'s.

1. Does anyone have a list of all the sensors connected to the ECU?

2. Does the JDM gen 3 have any more/less sensors than the USDM?

3. Are USDM and JDM sensors interchangeable? Which ones?

4. Lastly for now, will an intake manifold from a 5S fit the 3S head?

Thanks in advance for answers and time. I can't wait to get back to the States to start my 5S-GTE. Much props out to Justin for all your help. You are truely the man!

So finally after hours of searching the net I found an Electrical Component Locator for a 91 MR2. Here are the components for the USDM 5S-FE and 3S-GTE. I know that the JDM may not use some of these so if you have the knowledge speak up please! I am going to be using a Gen 3 JDM 3S-GTE ECU and Head in a 5S-GTE configuration. What components do I need?

3S-GTE:
Fuel Pump Resistor
O2 Sensor
EGR Vaccum Solenoid
EGR Temp. sensor
Turbo Pressure Sensor
Coolant Temp. Sensor
Cold Start Injectio Time Switch
Circuit Opening Relay
EFI Main Relay
Fuel Pump Relay
Solenoid Resistor
Turbo Pressure VSV
Variable Induction Switching Valve

5S-FE:
O2 Sensor (Main)
Cold Start Injector Time Switch
Coolant Temperature Sensor
Vaccum Sensor
EGR Vaccum Solenoid
EGR Temp. Sensor
Intake Air Temp. Sensor
Sub-O2 Sensor (Cali)
Circuit Opening Relay
EFI Main Relay
Fuel Pressure VSV

1. Does anyone have a list of all the sensors connected to the ECU?

what I did was went to a local shop that could print out the schematics on all of the wiring and had them do it...or go to toyota and get a book on each of the 2 motors which will run you an outstanding $173 a piece! ouch

2. Does the JDM gen 3 have any more/less sensors than the USDM?

from what I understand the gen 3 motor has less sensors than the US but not I know for a fact that if you get a gen 3 motor then you will also have to get the gen 3 ecu and have to basically rewire your ientire engine bay and ecu pinouts

3. Are USDM and JDM sensors interchangeable? Which ones?

all of my snesors were interchangeable actually they are all plug and play...except for gen 3 that is

4. Lastly for now, will an intake manifold from a 5S fit the 3S head?

that I cannot answer because I havent had a 5sfe but from what I know the exhaust manifold fits so I dont see why the intake wouldnt?

good luck to you hit me up with anymore questions

Intake manifold won't fit. Its different head FE and GE. Also GE got TVI-S, totally different intake port.

I was under the impression that the third gen head did not have the TVIS.

Oh, I though they all got TVIS. Gotta see the manifold to be sure.
Then why don't just get complete head from the 3S-GTE?

I am, but I would like the manifold to be setup like the 5SFE i.e. side inlet vs. center inlet. All the aftermarket ones for the 3S that I have seen are in the center too. About the sensors though. I can't get them just by buying the head. I would have to but the clip and I am trying to avoid that.
