Question about tire size

quick question about tires before I get some....first my car is dropped about 1.5 inches and I found out that 205/40 is the biggest i can put ont the front 2, what about the back I have 235/40's on now and they are about out of thread just wondering how big can I go...255/50?

It all depends on offset of hte rim.
I have had as big as 225 upfornt, although I tihnk 215s are ideal.
I have had 255's on the back without rolling.

if ur gonna go with 255s....go with a smaller profile....a 50 series would long way too big......i made that mistake....on the rears...16 x 8 rim...i have 245/45/16...i should have went with a 40 series tire instead....i will also need to roll my fenders eventually....it rubs on hard bumps.......lowered on H&R springs...

I do not recall the offest ~ sorry.
It was on ENkie RS EVolutions (17X9)
I believe it was a 255/35/17 IIRC.

Mine (RS Evolutions) are 38 offset... 8.5 & 9.5 wide...... the front might be 32 offset

I'm currently on 215/40-17 and 255/40-17's

The rears needed to be rolled with 245's on the 9.5" wide Wheels.
