ok my car is doing something odd.when i first start it and it is cold it will not go.it kinda bogs down when i push the gas for like 30-45 seconds.i mean it will drive just no power will not boost and it acts like its bogging down.any ideas???
Yeah man, the ECU has a certain "Cold start safety" program that lets you run no boost until its warmed up, and WHY are you trying to boost a gold engine?!?!
WELL ACTUALLY I AM WAITING AROUND 3 MINUTES BEFORE DRIVING.THE THING IS THE CAR USE TO NOT DO THIS.AND I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT BOOSTIN IT HARD I AM TALKING ABOUT RUNING THROTTLE TO SAY 2500 RPM'S AND IT BOGGS DOWN.
but.... don't boost until your car's temp is at (or close to) the half way mark. If your car is doing this when it is warm.... it could be ignition compontents.
ishcoleobo did you even read what i just wrote?i said it is bogging down @2500 rpm's.do you really think i am runnign it hard or boostin if it falls on its face @ 2500 rpms?also it is 92 degrees out side were i am at right now and i said i was letting it warm up for like 3 minutes.let me put this in terms you will understand.i live on a hill.the other day i was leaving and i forgot something and had to pull back up the hill.the car would not even pull up the hill.it just died.now please keep in mind this is on my driveway and in no way was i "boostin".i have had many, many turbo cars and never have i had one that would not pull up a hill after warming up for 3 minutes or so in 90 degree weather.something is wrong with it.plus i have had the car for 4 months and it just started this.
That will help for sure. Check your plugs out.... see how they look. But I think most people say to replace the wires every year!!! I wouldn't know personally... I've only been boosted for about 5 months now.
