Knock sensor question........

I recently checked the codes and found that there is a problem with the knock sensor. I heard that may cause the timing to retard at high rpm. Should I replace the sensor or is there another option?

u need to replace the knock sensor....OEM ones are really sensitive...i've gone thru three or four of them already in the five plus years that i've owned the car.....the only other alternative u have is to get one from ATS....check out Jeckyl and Hyde's siggy pic for their website.....

Yeah get the ATS GM Knock Sensor conversion.

I have tried calling ATS and their phone is disconnected. I have also e-mailed them, but have yet to receive a response. Anybody know whats up, or maybe where I can order this conversion else where? Thanks.
