Testing the water...

I'm from the chicagoland area and have been driving an Eagle Talon for a while. It's a quick car, but there's just something missing (well a lot of things)

I'm looking for a car that can get me from point "A" to point "B"...
But I want to get from A to B extremely fast and sideways around the corners!

I love the way 2nd gen MR2's look and I love the speed, but I have no idea how much they go for...

I've been saving up for a while, and have been getting a lot of hours at work. I'll be ready to buy one in about 2 months if I decide to get one... (I think thats how long it should take to get that much money.)

But about how much do they go for on average?
I dont care if it's turbo or not, after I buy a new car, I'm gonna sell my talon and buy a turbo kit w/ the money I get from that if it isn't already turbo. If the car is already turbo, I'll put it towards other parts.

Thanks for your replys...

Just so you know.... the NA and Turbo motors are different motors. The turbo version isn't just an NA motor with a turbo on it. The NA is a 5SFE which is the economy engine they stuck in camrys, celicas, and MR2s. The Turbo is a 3S-GTE.... which they stuck in.... the MR2 turbo and Celica All-trac (turbo).

Some (like myself) do the NA to Turbo swap... but it generally ends up costing more than just buying a turbo in the long run. Some turbo the 5sfe.... but ya can't boost too much on them. 5 - 6psi I believe (stock 3sgte is 8 - 11psi).

Depending on the want for the car at the moment (winter vs summer)... the price will vary. Also depends on what year you buy.... 94-95s are much more rare than the 91 - 93.

So in closing.... you are looking at $4,000+ for a turbo model. Probably somewhere between $3k - $7k for a NA.
