running ritch ;\

little background:

100% stock
idle fluctuates a little bit avg: 1,250rpm
drops down to 1,000rpm when a/c is on
car putters little bit at idle too
very weak top end (can't drive over 100mph)

boost comes on but you can't really feel it (maybe stock boost is just crap to me.)

if I shift up high (in low gear. ex: 1st to 2nd) power drops so much that when I upshift the car snaps back very violently...

I'm currently running w/ a one way valve in place of the vtv because toyota is being suuuuper gay w/ shipping and dunno wtf they are doing ;\ (btw anyone have one laying around?)

I'm going to take it easy I supposed till I figure out what is wrong w/ the car, I have no alternative as it is my daily driver...

Any suggestions will be greately appreciated... I'm going to check the plugs tomorrow even though I just changed them a few weeks ago... could a dead o2 sensor cause all these problems?

O2 sensor only affects the running of the engine at IDLE and at CRUISE, so no ... it would not be causing your problems.

Not having the VTV is most likely the cause of your problems under WOT.

So could the o2 sensor be the cause of my poor idle? I hope toyota gets on the ball here... placed order over the phone... maybe I should go to the dealer...

Idle fluctuation in an MR2 is typically from air in the coolatn system.

Have you checked codes yet?
If you are getting a "check engine light" there will be a code stored.

See here:
http://www.mr2-tech.com/bgb/mechanic...efi_system.htm

Click on Diagnosis System
Where it says to use "SST" to conenct the terminals ... any piece of wire OR paperclip will work.

^ not getting any codes, I thought air in the system always lead to overheating? I suppose a proper bleading of the system is well overdue... how often should coolant be changed? (I'm at 171,7xx) not sure when previous owner had it bled... I've only put 700ish mi on the car.
