difference in 1st and 2nd gen 3sgte's!!

ok guys,
I have a big problem and need so help! I own a 3sgte that i bought off of ebay months back and it was stated as a JDM 2nd GEN LSD 3sgte, however when i recieve the motor the plate on the manifold that states "twin-enty turbo" or "ceramic power" has been stripped off!! Leaving me with no idea on wheher or not i got ripped off.....so what i need i guess is any if there are any physical differences between the 1st and 2nd GEN motors. Any way of knowing without me having to open the motor and look at internals?! Anything at all would really help!! Thank All of you! All is appreciated!
