Japan spark plugs

does anyone know the best spark plugs to get im running ngk iridium rite now and im not to sure of the heat range of the plug and i think its better to go with a plug with a heat range that is colder than stock since im running higher boost on a bigger turbo.. so can anyone tell me a spark plug that is like 4 steps colder than stock spark plug

if i remember correctly, iridium is hotter than the stock plug, and i think copper is colder? i always get that confused. im using the double platnium densos at the moment adn they rule.

You do not want an iridium plug in the MR2.
Several owners have had the tiny electrode snap off and damage pistons and/or valves.

Run the NGK Coppers #6097.
They are one step colder than stock and super-duper cheap
Just change them every oil change.

I am using the NGK coppers 5030 ... very similar plug to the NGK 6097s.

Why do you want to go two steps colder? ... there are MR2s out there pushing 400-500 rwhp on the NGK's I referenced.

The only difference between the 6097 and the 5030s is one of theem has resistor. The 5030s could "possibly" cause interefernce with your stereo ... I have no stereo

MRQturbo, I should also be well over 400 RWHP by the spring

the 5030 do you have to change them frequently as well.. and for the other ones you have to change them every oil change?
