The clutch works fine, but I drove other manual cars and the clucth pedal I felt it harder, on my mr2 the clutch is soft, I asked the mechanic and he said that that's normal, is not tat it bothers me but it makes me wonder.

The MR2 def. has a strange clutch. I would say it is easy to push in compared to other sports cars that I have driven.... but I'm gonna assume that's cause it's the only 4cyl sports car I've ever driven. It actually seems very similar to my bros old Integra LS Vtec clutch.

Pretty stiff. ACT Heavy Duty clutch is why, and a very low engagement point .

I had the same result when my clutch went out. The old pedal was pretty stiff, the new one is a whole lot softer. The mech. said that was normal. I like it better, especially in stop & go traffic.
