USA Fuel Guage Jumping

Hey guys,

my new mr2 91 NA Auto

well the Fuel Guage keeps on saying full and sometimes says half
the half is rite, but the full is not. is there a easy fix to this.. i know i saw this in the faq somewhere in the sticky, but i can't find it.

and B4 i get bashed with the SEARCH bullsh!t. i searched and i did not find anything, hence the post.

fuel guage jumping

I had the same problem. It could be a sticky float in your gas unit which is inside your gas tank or a bad ground on the sending unit itself which is outside the tank. The ground is located onthe top of the sending unit on top of your tank. Check the ground first as its an easier fix and my hunch is you'll find that there is a faulty connection. if you don't see a bad connection time to go inside.

ok..lol

now were is the sending unit. i can't find a shop manual, and i dont wanna spend 40 bucks in ordering one from the internet.. can anyone who has time scan or just point it out for me?

Before I forget, you should go back and edit your posting that has your email address on it. What they call "spam bots" will find it, and you will start getting junk mail out the weengyang. Just change the @ to have two spaces, one before, and one after the symbol. The bots miss those....
