You can run, but you can't HYDE ~ the video ...

I have made (and I am still making) a compilation video of tons of the footage I have of Hyde
from the last 3 seasons. This tape is already well over 2 hours and I am still adding to it.
I expect it will be in the 2:45 - 3 hour range.

The video features:

*Well over 100 scenes of Hyde shot from both inside and outside
of the car ... the scenes are of SCCA Solo 2 Autocrosses, SCCA
Solo 1 Hill Climbs, loads of drag races, burnouts, dyno runs and
some spirited street driving.

*Some guest feature scenes of Jekyl .... includes some autocross
runs and a spirited ride on road fondly refered to as "the course."
This scene features Jekyl, Fabio's white 91T and another white
94T ... just three beatiful white MKIIs ejoying the curves.

*Hyde's History moments: first 12 second run (working on
locating the first 11 second run), Hyde brakes and axle at the
drag strip, and more ...

*Footage of my old Chevy Sprint that has been severely
customized by Chris Rado's race team and is now used as his tow
vehicle for his race car on the track ... see the Sprint at the NOPI
event at ATCO Raceway.

*I am hoping (predicting) this video will also feature an 11.5 or
faster pass as Hyde rolls over 200,000 original miles.

*I am working on getting an EXTREMELY AWESOME SURPISE
ENDING ... no promises, but if I pull this off ... the last scene will
be worth the purchase alone

This is all raw footage ... blended onto one tape.
There is no fancy editing, no distracting music, no sexy packaging.
You will hear all of my swearing in car and all of the stupid stuff I
yell when I race and miss shifts. You will hear the embarrassing
comments of my friends and family as they record my runs.

Included will be a comprehensive list of all scenes with descriptions.

At this point, it appears that I am going to be offering VHS ONLY.
I am still looking into the possiblity of a DVD version ~ no promises.

Ok, everyone ... I do not have the ability to get the information from a VHS into a DVD and all of the services I had contacted want a fortune to do it ... unless I order at least a 1000 copies

The problem is not getting the discs burnt ... it is getting the information transfered. We are talking 3 hours of footage ... that is a lot of information.

At this point I am going to work with one of the MR2 board members about creating the DVDs ... if what he is saying is accurate and can be done, the cost may be reduced DRASTICALLY ... I'll update within the next two weeks.

For those that paid already (and would prefer the DVD), I'll send you a refund with your copy.

Couldn't you have a single VHS to DVD conversion done and just reproduce that? We've done that with a lot of our old film reels and VHS tapes as well. It wasn't exactly cheap.... but I'm sure it would be cheaper than making 100000000000 copies at .50 each or whatever they are charging.

I'm sure there are tons of people on mr2oc willing to mass produce your dvd for you

I do have someone on mr2oc that is going to help with this ... see my post right above yours.

The problem is not duplicating the DVDs ... it is getting the VHS onto DVD. That conversion is big bucks. We are talking about 3 hours of footage that needs to be saved for quality viewing on a Televsion. That is a massive file!

Give me a week or two ... hopefully I get this sorted out.

There is a LOT of footage ... some better than others.

The last 3 chapters are hill climbs.
They are shown in the ORDER they were actually ran which means the first one is the SLOWEST ... I get significantly faster and braver as I get more runs in.

There is also a coo ldrag video of me getting detroyed by an 8 sec corvette ... he hits the 1/4 mile as I passed the 1/8
