water injection question

just wondering what some inputs were on water injection. i want to buy the racetep (Top End Performance) water injection kit but just wondering if any one has used it? secondly what horsepower gains do you see if any or is water injection just for detonation assurance. I know that it is very unlikely but I want to run mid 12's on stock ct26, stock manifold, and with the stock maf. I appreciate any inputs and comments

I run the aquamist system, I have zero knowledge of TEP's system.

Water injection adds no power by itself, unless you were arleady detonating at your current level of power.

Water injection offers you the ability to run more boost and/or more agressive timing which will give you more power. Regardless of WI, I would not run over 15 psi with the CT26 turbo. I also wouldn't choose that turbo for running mid-12s.

You want WI for detonation prevention, not assurance.

WI also steam cleans your engine on the inside (clearing up compression), affectively raisesthe octane of your fuel and also works as a great air cooler for the combustion chamber.
WI is very cheap "engine insurance."

I've only heard shady things about racetep... I've been meaning to go by their shop since it's about an hour from my house... but haven't had the chance. You might want to look at this... http://water.lovehorsepower.com .... this is the kit that I was looking into getting. It's made and sold by a member on the main boards... it's got two stages... and looks pretty fool proof.
