my mr2 drives me crazy

trying to get it running *decently*.... 87 hardtop no power..... ae101 gze went in, got rid of the a/c, the PS (came on the engine), and crank angle sensor.... got rid of battery tray (battery up front)...... it's "running" off of megasquirt & EDIS4 using a 4agte (IHI turbo) map at the moment (though my test run was with the s/c off and using an n/a map... still stumbled).... problems i've had along the way:

-getting E series axles
-E series tranny and axles show up..... one axle needs to be rebuilt (spend 8 hours one day trying to do it)
-get axles in, and the passenger side shaft leaks on the tranny
-get it "running".... old muffler on only to keep neighbors happy... muffler catches fire
-cut muffler off, cat gets too hot -> shoots flames out the back
-on the drive to the muffler shop, overheats and stumbles
-can't tune w/o o2 sensor... no sensor in yet.... (need to get to exhaust shop)

that's the problems i have had in the past couple weeks.... been spending pretty much every spare minute i've had until around 8pm or so on the damn thing....'
