The BCC completely eliminates fuel cut.
There is realyl no need to install it ... you can just cork the vac line to the OEM MAP sensor and fuel cut will be disabled.

The only reason to install the BCC is if you want the OEM boost gauge to still function ... but that gauge is worthless.

The HKS FCD raises fuel cut if that is something you would want.

Will corking the vac line to the MAP sensor throw a CEL? So the GReddy BCC really has no benefits besides keeping the stock boost gauge functional.

Are there any risks of just corking the vac line?

thanks.

Corking the vac line to the map will not throw a cell ... unplugging the electrical connection to the map WILL throw a cell.

The OEM MAP sensor does 2 things:
*controls fuel cut
*operates the OEM boost gauge

Unplug the vac line and you lose both of those.
Install the BCC and you just lose the FC.

Fuel cut is a safetey device to protect you from overboosting.
If you want to run more than 12 psi of boost, but you still want some protection the HKS FCD can RAISE FC to 17 psi.

If you want to run more than 17 psi, you have to eliminate FC.
I've been running for 3+ years with my MAP sensor corked.
