Question about 1992 MR2

Hey everyone, I'm going to be buying a 1991 MR2 Turbo in a couple days. And I'm wondering if the valve clearances have to be adjusted at all after a certain about of kilometers/miles?

Also, is the car belt or chain driven? If belt, how often should it be changed. And when should the waterpump be changed?

general rule of thumb...is to change the timing belt every 100kms.....waterpump should be changed at same time also...the first thing you should do is change the ignition components with OEM parts......plugs/wires/distr. cap/rotor......check the turbo for any visible oil leaks......take it to a mechanic....do a compression test and a leak down test to determine the condition of the motor.....

take it to toyota dealership and have them perform an inspection with compression test......total $150
