ive heard alot of bad things, as well as good things about the iridium plugs, Denso Iridium Power, whats the actual problems with them and what is everyones opinion on the "best" plug for the mr2

I am assuming you are asking for the turbo MR2.

For a stock MR2, the OEM Platinums are fine and will last quite a while.

If you are modifying for power, go for the NGK Coppers and change them with every oil change. The more boost you run, the smalelr the gap should be.

The problem with the iridiums is the tiny electrcode they have has been known to break apart under power and it can damge your pistons and/or your valves and/or your turbine blades.

Also tinny tip doesn't move heat away fast enough in turbo and high CR engine which cause pre-ignition. The only reason for using Platinum and Iridium is they last longer, not for performance.
