Question V6 Supercharged 91 MR2?

http://groups.msn.com/HellemannsMR2/...r2forsale.msnw

^I came across this looking in to Camry superchargers. Anybody familiar with doing a swap like this into an MR2? He wants $12K for it.

there are around, 11 or so with that swap...

they're nicknamed "MR6s"

a 1mz-fe has pretty much the same power as the originally equipped 3sgte when stock...

but the 1mz-fe is alittle bit lighter, larger, and when combined with the TRD supercharger, makes as much power as a mildly tuned 3sgte, but without the turbo lag...

anyone that complains about turbo lag...prolly never has driven a car with a properly sized turbo....lag is so minimal in my car.....a split second....my car makes full boost at around 3500rpm which is very streetable....turbo lag is so overrated and is a too commonly used term IMO....

Yup, stock turbo MR2s spool damn quick. By 3500 rpm you're well on your way. But by the same token, it's still just a 2.0 litre 4-cylinder. Having driven both a turbo MR2 and a Camry with a V6, I can say that I personally enjoyed the smoother power delivery of the six to the turbo four. It's just a lot more punch down low, even with the god-awful 4-speed automatic it had.

Same power numbers.. very different torque bands.
