Exclamation Need PRO help.

I am thinking of getting a 91 or so MR2 non-turbo and converting it to a 95 and up vesrion turbo version. I would love to hear from someone who's done it already how realistic is it to do it? what are the main concerns? will the engine fit right in to a non-turbo version or some modification will have to be done? will the whole wheel system and suspension system have to be redone? and how much aprox it would come out to?
Well I would greatly appriciate anything that you guys can help me out with!

the money it costs to convert an NA into a Turbo (of ANY MKII year) will cost more than a turbo model of that year already...

what you can do to make your car look like an 95, is buy the 94+ taillights, front lip, body colored side trim, and the rear spoiler...

but if you want a turbo in the end, get a turbo from the start...

Why go through all of that work?
... just buy a turbo MR2 if you want one.

Many people have gone through the time, expense, headache of doing the swap.Yes, it is doable ... hardly worth the effort. IMO.

Besides the engine, you would need the tranny, axles, the ECU and the wiring harness. Also, the 96+ engines will not pass Pennsylvania emmissions.

Why not just get a 91-95 US turbo MR2? ... it truly is a lot easier to just buy one already turboed and modify it. Yes, 245 > 200 ... but you can easily get 350+ out of hte US 3sgte.

get a 91 turbo....do some simple mods....exhaust....intake....fcd....some sort of boost controller....and turn up the boost.....and it will be just as fast....w/o all the headaches involved with doing the turbo swap.....

I had a CRX before and it was completly not passing inspection, they just put a different CRX on the thing got it's statistics and passed mine. They did that for a bunch of my friends too. So i am not worring about the inspection part.
But thanks anyway guys I appriciate it alot.
