Good deal?

Tomorrow I am going to purchase a 1991 Toyota MR2 non-turbo 2.0lt twin cam.
It has full leather and all extras ecxept air condition. The car has 2 previous owners and is stock, except for 17inch rims and an MP3 CD player
It only has 46,000 miles on the clock and the condition of the interior and exterior is like NEW!
I am going to buy it for 6600 USD

Is it a good price or what?

wow, only 46K on it, they must of not drivin it a lot, but that's good. Of course w/ out the turbo , that would've been a good perk. Make sure u give it a thorough look through and make notes of anything so that your ass is covered.

I bought my 91 NA in 1999 for 7100 in cash, it had 55k miles on it. The price depends where you live and the demand for the mkII. Where I live, you rarely see them. You won't find many 1991-93 mkII's with less than 80 or 90k miles. You might want to check carfax to see if it's been in accidents and check the door jams to see if it has been repainted.

the blue book value for that year/model is $4820.00 US. that is with the info you gave. if it has t-tops it may be worth a little more, but not much.

Blue book doesn't factor in the rarity of the 2. I just bought my MR2, 58k miles, 1991 that just had full tune-up and a new turbo. It was the least expensive 2 within 300 miles, not to mention in the best condition (like-new interior and exterior w/ short shift, 17" ADR rims and body kit), and was $8500. Seems like a good deal, however a tune-up and the possibility of a new turbo are in the future.

yeah. blue book doesn't take alot of things into account. in the end, it's up to the individual as to whether it's worth it or not. but the figure is good for a base to make an informative decision...I bought my '91 in '03 for 6k. at the time blue book was 6100.00. but it had new long block and new stock internals. so to me, it was well worth it. none of those things were reflected in blue book appraisal..

Do Mr2's have any weak point?

Do they suffer from any paintwork etc etc..?
I'm new to Toyota, especially Mr2's and I do not know what to check when buying the car.
Please let me know and give me full details on how to inspect the car inside through.
Thanks in advance!

Is this a 3sge? Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Can't really compare this to our NA's cause its got a better engine IMO. I'd get it.

If it is a 3sgte then it is turbocharged. Do you have a link to this cars ad or is it by word of mouth?
