just bought an mr2...some general questions

so me and my friend bought an 86 mr2 sight unseens for $500 off ebay...the engine doesnt run but even if we can never get it to run $500 isnt bad for the straight frame etc...the conditions under which it dies are not great...after overheating a couple times at low speed it was taken on the freeway where it dies around 70 mph...we assume that short of major damage we need oil plugs wires a battery, oil filter, basicly all the fluids, anything else we should be changing... short of any parts we find to be damaged...we are planning on either building custom headers and doing twin turbos or a supercharger and then racing somhow...maybe scca but ita doesnt allow for much modding which we want to do...any suggestions? we're located in detroit, mich

If you want to race is scca, ive seen a tercel with a 4age in it. It was built extensively. It put out 240 whp NA. In the scca you cannot have any kind of turbo or i think supercharger also. Becasue they say that there is no way to moderate the boost. Think about just putting in a built up 4age doing some suspension and body mods. The engine sounds shot, you can get a decent 4age for pretty cheap now a days.
