i need your help. i need to find the engine number of my mr2 3s-gte .. where is it located? tnx so much..

would that not be the same as the VIN number??.......check on the driver's side door...should be a label there from the factory......

usually its stamped on the block itself.....is the motor pulled or still in the car??...

Mine is on the side of the block on the rear towards the back of the car . I could see it when it was on the lift. but it is a new long block..

the engine is still on the car, anyway i found it already.. its located under the thermostat.. what a place to put it... tnx guys..

on USDM and canadian MR2s there is also a ID tag on the lower portion of the block and trans with the serial # -- JDM engine or trans do not have these ID tags
