Frozen shocks

It has been super cold the last couple of days, and my back shocks are bouncing like crazy. It looks like the car is sqatted down in back too. I'm guessing it's b/c of the weather, but should I be concerned? Does this happen to anyone else? The whole susp. system is stock.

Thanks for input!

that shouldn't happen, I think the seal may be crack and the pressure has leaked out. Time for new shocks my friend

your shocks are probably bad, you gotta replace them.

the "bouncing around" part is simply the spring supplying most of the dampening force.... what you are describing is exactly what I had experienced when my front struts went out....

It only does it when it's cold though. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. It was warmer today and they felt normal.

maybe the internal seal is simply reacting to the temperature... it might shrink when it gets cold and lessen the dampening force of the strut.... I know when I finally tore mine apart..... there was hardly any seal left. you were saying this happens to the back shocks correct? do the rear wheels have any greasy drips inside the wheel? when my front strut went out there was alot of strut oil that had leaked into the wheel, causing a nice mess.

I haven't noticed anything like that, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. I haven't really looked at them.
