Question Missing on boost

Hi guys!
When I'm driving the car and it comes on boost, it starts to misfire almost as if the fuel injectors have cut out. It kinda 'pops' and loses power? Could this be a rogue spark plug? The car has a single stage boost controller and an FCD fitted but these are set to zero so I don't think it would be that. The plug leads were changed recently and so were the plugs. It's all very confusing!! Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks guys

Craig

Do you have an aftermarket boost gauge? If not... I would take out the boost controller and see if the problem stops... your boost could be set too high and hitting fuel cut. If you do have one.... what psi is the car stopping at?

If you have the HKS FCD, it should not be set to zero.

Actually, it is #9.

If you set the HKS to 7 on the MR2 you ELIMINATE FC.
If you set the HKS to 9 on the MR2 you RAISE FC to 17.5 psi.

your mr2 could be cutting out for a couple different reasons. Are your spark plug wires good? Is your fuel pressure 32psi-38psi. Is your Cap and rotor in good working condition? And lastly, your fuel filter could be plugged up, this is often overlooked.

Check to see if your plugs are gapped properly.
