Hey how you all going...Well My name is Luke i'm 18 and from Australia. I've recently purchased a 1990 SW20 MR2 so i thought i'd join up! I don't currently have the car it's being imported from Japan and should arrive around March. But anyways here it is

It's in pretty rough shape externally at the moment and in need of a respay. Although i'm not complaining i picked it up for $5800! A 3sgte transplant is hopefully going to be completed by the end of the year.

welcome to TN...$5800.00 for a'90 sounds high..especially if its not in good shape... is that a NA? I paid 6k for a '91 turbo in good shape and new long block and new internals. http://members.cardomain.com/mr2bad

You forget that i'm in Australia dude, here thats super cheap. My mate paid $16,000 for his NA 93' MR2.

I forget to ask but doesn't Australia already have the MR2, if so what was the purpose of importing one from Japan and would there be any difference on the insurance, would it more expensive or cheaper?
