hey guys,
its been a while since i've posted a thread.
i really need your guys help on deciding what car to buy.
i want a GT4, but i can never find one, i tryed looking for an MR2 turbo but they were to expencive.
now i'm thinking of getting a MR2 Spyder. they are reasionable priced. i need your help becaues i dont know if the MR2 Spyder is good car to race in a circuit. i'm tired on working on old cars. i dont know if this car handles well and whether its has potential.

I have an '01 Spyder. the VVTi is a good engine, but the car is still under powered. 138hp/125 Tq. there's quite a bit of aftermarket stuff for them now-turbo kits, body kits, intakes, exhausts, valves,injectors, suspension,etc. but when i came across a used '91 MR2 turbo , I picked it up and still kept my Spyder but stopped at where I was with the mods. The Turbo has so much more potential than the spyder. With minimal mods you can get 50 to 70% more hp in the '91 turbo. I do think the Spyder handles better but I really like the turbo more. heres a link to what I've done to both. turbo wins - hands down http://members.cardomain.com/mr2bad

how can a spyder cost less than an mk2 turbo??.......

yeah, me too. I paid $24,800.00 brand new for the '01 Spyder and $6,00.00 for the '91 Turbo in aug. '03.

i've found 2000 mr2 spyders, from 11000 to 15000. and the mr2 turbos ive found are between 6000.00 to 10000. i'll be payling more but it'll be for a much newer car.
