Need advice on 85 MR2

looking at picking up an 85 MR2 just to get me around for now, nothing special

but the hand brake cable needs to be re-attached. from what i know the seller does some work himself... so is it really that difficult to re-attach that he wouldnt bother doing it?

also, any weak points on the car that i should be paying close attention to?

a lot of times those cables go bad...we just replaced the one in ours (it was old rusted etc)...if it truly just needs to be reattached its not that bad, my advice if you want to crawl under the car and do it would be to remove the exhuast, that gives you a lot of room to work. it may be a good idea to ask him how much oil is in there...when we first bought our car we got a 5 quart oil tub to drain into...turned out there was more like 7 in there... but in general most na cars arent a huge pain...the hand brakes on these things are border line nutorious
