Help – we need axles for a 94 MR2 with a j-spec 3sgte with LSD. We need the center shaft and brearings and the two outer CV shafts. Searching in Canada.

If you already have 3SGTE non-LSD axles, then all you need is the inner stubs from the LSD axles. You do not need the whole axle.

As for CV joints, if you are planning on making power with this car, I would suggest getting the ATS Racing chromoly CV joints. Click my siggy photo to go the ATS site ... tell them I sent you

Toyota Part numbers for the LSD stuff (prices are at least 2 years old):

Inner Axle Stubs:
D-side inner stub for LSD: 41309-17040 $126.77
P-side inner stub for LSD: 43049-17010 $259.28

Entire LSD Axle:
D-side: 42340-17171 $277.57
P-side: 42330-17211 $334.00

Canada Help J-spec 3sgte ecu pin outs

I'm currently installing a j-spec 3sgte motor in my stepson 93 MR2 which was a N/A 2.2. The motor is a 94. The 2.2 ecu chassis harness only had 12 pins but the 2.0 turbo has 22 pins. The Canadian toyota manual shows 22 pins but only 14 are used. The chassis harness from the j-spec ecu has all 22 wires coming from it. What are rest of these for?
The pin outs are as follows -
STA(pin 11 - wire color = red/silver stripe),
ABS(pin 20 - green/silver stripe), ABS system somewere?
ATS(pin 8 - blue/yellow stripe with twin silver bands) A/C amp?
CF(pin 19 - black/ silver stripe)
ABV(pin 18 - black/with twin silver bands)
ECO(pin 6 - white/silver stripe) this is Exhaust temperature sensor signal from after CAT.
STP(pin 4 green/white stripe with single silver band) this goes to stop light switch somewere
EGW(pin 3 red/with twin silver bands) - this pin is Exhaust Gas Warning to led in dash -not req.

No we only have 5sfe axles. The prices i got from Toyota Canada are about the same converted to cnd$$. I'l try the ATS site because we do plan to make power eventually but just want to get er ready for the spring for now.

We have the engine harness and about 16" the chassis harenss from the ECU. The engine is running with any engine codes but since I don't have axles yet I can't test drive it to see if any other problems show up.

Do you have the diagrams? If not let me know, I'll hook you up.

STA goes to either the C/OPN relay or the EFI relay
ABS probably goes to the ABS computer
ATS goes to the a/c amp
CF goes to fan #1 relay
ABV no idea
the last three you already have figured out, right?

So, you have the US diagrams for the 3SGTE and those wires on not on there? I'm not talking just the pins, did you search out the diagram to see if they are in there?

BTW, I've been told you can just use an LED for the exhaust temp warning light... haven't tried it yet though.

Canada j-spec ecu pinouts

I'll have to look closer at the chassis wiring drawings but the pinouts on the ecu drawing are not the same. I opened the j-spec ecu to identify each pin. The north american ecu i have is from a 2.2 N/A which only has 12 pins.
