Custom exhaust question...

Want to do a setup, with the dual tip. But don't have the money for the KO i so badly desire. So I decided on settling for a custom setup replacing the b-pipe back. Best way I figured was to just get a type of muffler (maybe resonator?) that I can weld a y-pipe onto so I can run the dual tips. Anyone got any ides on such a muffler/resonator that won't make a piss-poor sound, but can be welded on both sides? Thanks for any input.

If you are using the stock b-pipe... I don't see how it will even be possible to do a dual tip setup unless you use a single muffler/dual tip like the OEM design. Unless I'm reading your post wrong and you are replacing the b-pipe too. I think the TKO uses magnaflows? Might wanna double check that one tho.

It would be worthless to add an an exhaust and keep the OEM b-pipe.
That piece is highly restrictive. All you would be doing is chaning the sound and look.

replace the b-pipe, add the Y split and go with 2 -7" single exit Magnaflows(or even 2 fireballs)

Yeah, definitely replacing the b-pipe as well. That's what I mean when I said "b-pipe back." And just curious, but is the 7" XL at the bottom the muffler you were talking about? If not, where is it?

Awesome, then it's one muffler, y-pipe and the dual tips. Thanks for the help.

I was just kidding. I've been watching that item. I did notice tonight that they have another up for bid. I'm not really sure if i'm gonna go that way or just get a down pipe and get the rest custom made. I would like to hear how you like the KO when you get it on.
