Got '91 MR2 Turbo. I want to remove the throttle body so I can put on my new valve cover.It looks like there is a metal gasket between throttle body and intake manifold. Is it reusable or will I have to get a new one for reassembly?thanx

You can resue it if it doesn't crack when you remove the TB. Most likely new one from Toyota is metal. I got all metal gasket form Toyota with my 5S-FE kit.

thanks. i was hoping that was the case. I was able to use the metal gasket over again from the throttle body inlet. BTW-Pineapple?

As long as you don't scratch the metal gasket, you can reuse them forever. Of course a bit of silicone never hurt. I don't think the engine will leak again with all those metal gaskets

Try to confirm with other to make sure its metal gasket when you order. I just ordered 5S-FE rebuild kit and it come with metal gasket. Don't know if it gonna be the same for 3S-GTE.

hey, the gasket was still good.. thanx guys
