So a buddy of mine bought himself a dodge neon SRT-4. He seems easily convinced that he can take my MR2 no problem. So, so settle it, we're going to bring them to a strip when the weather gets better.
So far for performance wise, I got
K&N air filter
TKO 2.5" exhaust + TKO downpipe
I'm thinking of getting the "Street Brawler" Turbo setup, but thats undecided
You'll beat the '03 srt, you better be fast for your mods if you want to beat a stock 04+

Do you not have a boost controller? If not, you might want to think about investing in one. An '04 SRT-4 will sadly enough smoke you with your mods. It has a great deal more torque and horsepower: 230 horsepower at 5,300 rpm and 250 lb.-ft. of torque from 2,200-4,400 rpm. Here are the '03 SRT-4 specs: 2.4-liter DOHC turbo-boosted 205 horsepower in-line four-cylinder engine that delivers 220 lb.-ft. of torque available from 2000 to 4800 rpm. It's curb weight is 2,588 lbs. Hope this gives you a better idea of what you're up against.
ordered myself the streetbrawler turbo setup, for a boost controller I'm planning on getting the Apexi AVC Type-R Boost Controller. Any other recommendations?
nice....with the SB kit you should whoop on his ass no probs...but u will have to get more supporting mods....fuel will be a concern....and engine management....what will u be running to tune the car??....an upgraded IC is also a must......btw..what part of Ontario are you from??.....my honest opinion to u is that..u don't want to make big power...or spend lots of money...don't get the SB kit...supporting mods/install/tuning will add up quickly....if u want to make some decent power...get urself a ct-20b or a ct-27...will cost you far less in the long run...but that all depends on how fast you're willing to go.....
my friends wrx got owned by an srt4... in 3rd gear he just kept pulling away from him... the wrx had intrake/exhaust/downpipe/up pipe and a few other mods the srt4 was completely stock...

im assuming that was a heads up race. I know SRT's are quick cars. my friend has a modded SRT with a HUGE FMIC. He raced my cousin's NSX T on the highway. Shortly after the 3 beeps the NSX was 3 car lengths away.. The NSX only had an intake and a Taitec Exhaust. Even more so the SRT was 4 car lengths away in the bends. It was said that the SRT was evenly matched on the horsepower end with the NSX.
My point. If u want to make the race interesting mix both straight line racing along with cornering. Any car can go fast on the straights. It Depends on driver skill and how well u know the limits of the car.
Althought the SRT's are monsters on the straight line, im sure you will kill it on braking and cornering. Much respects to both cars.
Just with a few mods I was able to hang pretty well on my brothers ass in his NSX.... except out of corners. SRT4's are pieces of shit.... even if you loose... just brush it off. Take him on a nice twisty road and see where he is....
