just recently the motor blew in my 93 240sx, so im looking into something different. The only places I know of to look is the local paper and autotrader.com. A friend also mentioned xcars.com but that site has been down for a month now. I can't get a loan because i don't have any credit so my uncle is cosigning and he says no more than 3500. I think I can talk him into 4k so anywhere around there. I live in richmond, va if any of you are currently selling your mr2 near here. looking for a 91+ mr2 turbo with less than 150k miles. autotrader.com is where I found one of my MR2s.
You can also look on the mr2 board: mr2oc.com, they have a for sale forum there.

Just to give you a heads up, if you buy a turbo MR2 for under $3500 ... I can almost gaurantee that it will cost you some healthy money the first year you own it. Of course, I would offer that advice on any used car.

I have seen plenty of people (myself included) borrow the max they can afford to buy the used car they truly want and then not have any budget for maintenance and repairs.

thanks jekyl. I forgot to mention the 240 is up for trade. like i said, the engine is blown (threw rod), new clutch about 200 miles on it, oz rally racing rims and tires, red painted calipers, body is in good condition, dash is immaculate, new speakers, fresh induction, plug wires, and a few other things. Let me know if your willing to trade plus cash

You will be lucky to find a mkII turbo for that amount of money in Virginia. But good luck regardless.

ebaymotors and mr2oc would be my suggestion.

and you're going to have a very hard time finding one for 3500 or less around here. If you do, it's gonna have high mileage and problems most likely. You might be able to if you're patient and wait a while. Good luck though, i just got mine

yea i havent found any around here, plenty further away though. as long as it's not in california, which rules out alot, if your willing I would pay for shipping to here. I could probably do 4k but thats pushing it. like I said, feel free to e-mail rydell_hall@yahoo.com and thanks for the tips.
