well guys i had an accident this afternoon around 3:15.. it was raining, and the road around the boulevard area is smooth asphalt which gets very slippery when wet.. so i was driving with the speed of about 40 kph (25mph), then i overtook a truck, when i pulled back to my lane the rear wheels suddenly broke lose, then i spun and hit a parked container van on a trailer. i damaged my fender, hood, bumper, headlight and the air duct.. ill have to check if any mechanical stuff has been damaged.. good thing no one was hurt..
well, i guess this is a sign that its time to set up my car... im planning on putting on a border fiberglass front bumper and fiberglass fenders with the gills, custom FB hood, thinking on putting on veilside side skirts, and some fender flares and a decent rear bumper.. oh, and repainting the whole car Honda milano red by du pont.. guess i have to think positive.. huhuhu!!
Shoot dude, i hate when shit happens. You gotta love MR2's though. There are definetly some nice body kits for that car though, so good luck with customization. And i hope the car doesn't have too much mechanical damage, looks like a doozy. good luck bro.

ouch...just by the topic title...i knew "it was raining" would be part of the thread.....thats why i take it really easy when its wet out....even with brand new T1-S on all four corners....i learned my lesson the first month i bought my car...nearly lost it on bald yokohama's on the hwy...scared me enough to always take it easy if its not dry out.....i hope insurance takes car of you and u can rebuild her....good luck....
damn! its always painful to see one of those. good luck man. so long as no one was hurt....I guess this all the much more reason to open up a door for a project..take your time in fixing it to ensure its done right both mechanincally and cosmetically...again good luck
yeah, it realy takes some skill to drive this car fast on wet road.. i wasnt even going fast! anyway, thanks for the support guys.. yup yup, project on the way!! so since im replacing my headlights, im thinking of NSX conversion, still the flip open ones, not the fixed. coz i just love the look of the car when they are down.. and i like the nsx headlamps because they are low rise head lamps compared to the MR2 and a bit longer in lenght.. has anyone done this comversion before?
I've been there before.... just makes you sick doesn't it? I was stupidly doing the speed limit in hard rain on the interstate (70 mph) and the back end just decided to switch directions.... even after drifting my rx-7 for years I still couldn't pull out of it... I ended up sliding facing a retaining wall for about 40 yards.. and finally spun into the median... just bent the rear axels and separated my kit\flares.. .. that were painstakingly molded to the body..... but good luck on your build....I've never seen the NSX conversion done before... I'm sure it would look great. be sure to keep us updated.
damn, I hate it for you. at least u came out in one piece. I hope most of the damage was superficial and nothing to deep. the ass end of these criitters really want to swap ends in wet or slippery weather..coud happen to anyone..good luck with the fix. i know you'll post pics of the repair project. good luck
well thank god my mr2 isn't registered yet....
im still driving my honda accord.......
some dumb bitch slammed on her benz SUV and the car in front of me slammed no his breaks also....he had ABS........my accord dosen''t.........it jus skidded...and i wasn't going fast at all.....i want tailgating......its jus my luck.................
my shit if FUCKED UP rite now x(
this is gonna set me back on finishing my MR2
cause i have to fnish repairing my accord....
itz gonna b in da Gz....
bullshit
sigh....well...gl with ur mr2......ur not da only one with car problems join my club..if that makes you feel any better x(
the conversion has been done. theres a purple mr2 in houston from team koncept racing that has nsx tail lights with a wide body kit. its clean looking. but you should always do what you like. its hard to be unique nowadays.
