Hi all. I'm looking for a good reputable shop to buy a 2nd gen 3SGTE motor. I hoping someone could help find a shop in Southern California. I've found a few places but most of them don't have one in stock and don't know when one will arrive. What's is the average price you guys have seen these motors go for. Most places are quoting me $1100-1500 for just the long block no trans. Thanks guys/girls.

On mr2oc contact Dennis or GreddySetGo (Danny).... those guys are mr2 guys that sell engines. I can't remember the name of Dennis' place... but Danny works at Integrity Auto. I would also recommend JPR Motorsports (http://jprmotor.com) in La Habra... they did my swap for me and would recommend them for any work on your car. I bought my clip from ARD Performance in San Diego if you are down in that area (http://ardperformance.com). Plus there is Josh (http://chicoraceworks.com) in northern cali... he ships I believe.... and also http://mr2warehouse.com in Pennsylvania... they have pretty good pricing shipped.

Thanks Ishcoleobo. I called jprmotoring a few days ago and he didn't have any in stock. I'm going to call Ardperformance tomorrow. How much was the clip from ARD? Mr2warehouse.com wants $2500 shipped. Not bad considering it's coming from back east.

ARD is about $2,200.... but make sure you get EVERYTHING. My clip was missing some odds and ends which just made it annoying. The guys said they would reimburse me for the stuff.... but I never got around to getting it back from them. Tell them you wnat a COMPLETE SWAP. Talk to Dennis (not to be confused with the dennis from mr2oc)... he is the manager... really great guy.
