Unhappy Looking for buying info for mr2 J-plate...please

hi all

looking at getting an mr2 t-top, its a j-plate with just over 100k (but i think its clocked)

basically i need pointer to where to look...engine, box , suspension etc....what are know problems?

The car started on the button first time from cold and the clutch seems new, it has had a new steering rack also...the gear box gaitor seem sloppy though? is that common???

I am getting the car for £500 it has black leather and is dark blue, a normal 2.0... body work isnt great but i have a respray planned!

any tips? i would really appreciate them....thanks for your time....

Look under the front very close for curb damage. MR2's tend to get away from people. Also pull an air connector off between turbo and intake, check for oil leaking from turbo.

Hi, thanks for your replys...

unfortuneatly it isnt the turbo....

if the car is parked and you play with your gear stick does it feel sloppy and indirect? i havent driven it yet though....

Also is there any known faults? e.g. suspension bushes wear quickly or gear linjkages break...she says the car has never let her down!
