Hot water for Winter washing

I hate to wash my car in the winter but realized that I could utilize the hot water from my laundry. It makes it much easier to wash my car when the water is hot, and it is cold out.
If you are going to try this Beware: the water is only hot or cold and can burn you!

using water from laundry??......how do u do that??....wouldn't it be better to take the car to a touchless car wash in the winter time rather than freezing your hands off?.....

LOL!!! You mean plug a garden hose in where your washer hooks up?? That is brilliant!!!

I don't think I'd ever do it.... but i guess its a pretty good idea.

yeah, did not feel like going to car wash it can get pretty expensive and you can wait a long time!
My laundry hook up is pretty accessable. I think I will make a hot/cold permanate hook up this summer.

But if you put hot water on frozen glass it'll crack because of the quick temperature change..

haha sounds liek somethin i should have done. Back in highschool (when i bought it 6 years ago), I washed my 2 atleast once a week religiously, no matter how cold. If it had salt on it, it was a mad scramble to wash her on the weekend even if it was like 30 degrees. I put on some gloves then covered them with latex gloves that fit over and used warm tap water. Oh and the water would form ice when I rinsed my 2 off at times. It's amazing how fast you can wash a car when it's freakin cold out haha.

i dunno if i would use hot water...more like warm. the other thing is, hot water will freeze quickly! and it's sorta bad for the paint (according to one very good source of professional detailing)
