Question Manual conversion question

Hey peeps.

I have a aw11 4agze. i was wondering because i want to convert it to the manual could i use a sw20 transaxle or is there another transaxles that i can use fo rthe conversion because i cant find a manual s/c transaxle at the moment??????

yeah, i'm about to do the SW20 LSD. i think it's the same (so i have to dig-out my trans books) but you have to use the bellhousing (at least) from the E51. i think there's something about it on the MR2OC messageboard

So would i be able to use the n/a drive shafts and convert the 6 speed to rwd. I guessin with what i read it wouldnt be hard to do this but would the power just keep blowing the drive shaft due to the smaller joint or could i beef them up with the better cv joints???

well, PapoJ for the MR2OC board and Deno did the 6 speed swap. the trans came out of the new Celica GTS. the SW20 is in the MkII MR2.
i think you would need the turbo axles and the trans, but i think there's something with the one shaft that needs to be changed. trying to remember...sorry, my old ass and memory...LOL!

I heard that u can use a celica ft4 front drive shaft for the conversion cause they are the exact same size does anyone know if this is true??? It came from a reliable source but just want to check it out!!!!
