I went out today to finally replace my antenna mast. After some time and no success, I decided to open up the assembly itself to take a look at the gears. The plastic shaft(with the bolt) that the gears are held in place by was snapped. The gears were shifting out of place so that the antenna mast would not retract into the gears and roll up. Does anyone have a new/used/working housing that I could buy off of them(the entire unit, with or without the holding bracket)? Toyota charges an arm and a leg and your right testicle for this to be replaced. Thanks.
It should be working, yes is for sale. I say should be because I bought the car as an engine donor for my swap project. The stereo was already gone but the power antenna was in trunk still mounted. Before scrapping the body I removed it. I have no use for it, U2U an address and I'll send it to you. After you see if it's working you can paypal back the shipping charge, I'm not concerned about anything more. I'd rather help somebody out than it sit here. Good karma always comes back.
