went to a movie tonight, came out.. and I noticed a wire coming from my passenger door.. some bastards stole my shit! EVERYTHING. my in-dash TV\DVD cd player, my subs with the custom fiberglass box I MADE for my mr2, and my amps..but they left my brand new WALTHER P99 in it's case behind the seat? truly retarded. that alone is worth $800. they tried to steal the car by removing the steering column panels.. but they were too retarded to notice the ignition isn't on the steering column. broke my damn driver side window... left glass everywhere, and on top of that... it rained like HELL in my damn car. there was blood all over the driver door, so I'm thinking YES maybe the police can actualy do something about it... NOPE.. they said the "extra moisture" made it wothless! but I parked within 20 feet of this camera that makes a full revolution... so I got security to hold the tape until their supervisor can review it.
so NOW screw the engine, body, and accessories... I need a freakin driver side window.. any ideas.. other than toyota and junkyards? but that's about all I can do. and no one is open thanks to easter... so I'll have to wait until monday to start looking. and I'm supposed to go out of state for my federal firearm training on tuesday... so I don't know what I'm gonna do.
if anyone has a spare window lying around, I'll pay crazy style for it and throw in a free fiberglass enclosure like what WAS in my car.

This is one of the reasons I typically drive my 88 MR2 that I paid less than $1500 for and doesn't even have a stereo. It's often not "worth" having a nice car.
it'd be a ghetto rig but it'll hold till you get a glass, go to home depot and get a piece of plexiglass, prolly $20 and cut to fit. Pop it in. at least it'll be clear for driving and keep the raun/bad weather out.
damn, u are having the worst luck....if I leave my pistol in the car, I remove the clip and put it somewhere else so at least if they find the pistol, i (or anyone else)won't walk up on them with my gun loaded. ' Yeah I'm real leary about taking my either of my 2's into the city. I usually take the 4x4 taco. ain't really nothin' to steal in it... Sorry to hear that too man, it happenned to me here in california, left my car at work one day overnight cause i lost the keys, came back the next day, car wasn't there, towed away, no prob i thought. so i went to the tow yard, the car had been broken into before being towed, they broke both windows, cracked my windshield, put three dents in the car, took my amp, subs, cd's, popped the engine bay and took my NGK's my weapon R cold air, openned the trunk and took my uninstalled apex S-afc, and emptied the trunk into the passengers seat, and stabbed my driver's seat (leather), oh and my gameboy advance from the glovebox. these guys had plenty of time to do all this..
Oh, well, fixed what I could and sold it on ebay. It was a Black '87 MR2 NA with blue decals, black and blue leather interior, nice car but it was cursed, had to tow it home that day and the tow truck got into an accident pulling out of the tow yard with the 2 on it's back, then when it finally arrived my street at home in Anaheim, as soon as it parked out front we heard a tire screatch and a loud BAM, one man was killed in an accident like 25 yards away... Not that I believe in curses but that was alot of coincidents in one day...

yeah i sold it and got my 91 turbo, with only 47000 miles, but then i crashed it into the carpool wall when it was raining , so now it's in the body shop getting a wide body... maybe it's me not the car...jk.
it was looking just as bad as MR2crazybyong's, but it should be done this week, paint and all...

yeah , there's some curve to them. plexiglas can be heated"gently" and then shaped to the desired curve, but they are illegal, cuz they wont shatter like glass will. if u become pinned in your car, u won't be breaking that one to get out...will your insurance not pay for it? i had a rock fly past my head and hit the rear glass. scared the shit out of me. i didn't even know what it was. i pulled over thinking someone just took a shot at me and didn't notice anything. then when i went to pull back on the road, i looked thru my rear view mirror and couldn't see thru the window. there wasn't a 1/2 of glass that wasnt shattered. i got 3 estimates--1.) $3200.00 2.) $1400.00 3.) $800.00 but insuance paid for it. just had to pay $100.00 deductable
thats why i will never go to the movies in the mr2...theives know that they have a two hour window to break into your car while your watching a movie...you'd figure that the movie theatres would provide better sercurity but it seems like if it happens outside..then they don't give two shits....anyways...hope u get things sorted out and have good insurance coverage...it always sucks to hear about somebody losing their stuff to low life punks that break into other people's cars....
my insurance doesn't give a damn about the car.. or the stuff in it. all that matters to them is that I pay them to allow me to drive. since the crash on the interstate I had swapped to liability until I could get the car back to show quality.... so they aren't gonna do anything but raise my rates. looks like I'll call out of work on monday and try to review the security tapes... then go by toyota and bend over!
