so whats the deal?
MKI's came with a 4age and a 4agze.
MKII's came with a 5sfe (us), 3sgte (1st/2nd gen US, 1,2 and 3rd gen in JP) and the 3sge (JP).
MKIII's (aka.. MRS or Sypder, not to be confused with the MKII Sypder) came with the 1zz.... I dont think they ever came stock with a 2zz.... even in Japan.
There is also a 4th gen (or gen 3.5 some call it) 3sgte that came in the Caldina (JP).
it's OK, you are forgiven but u see why I was asking ? it's kinda confusing cuz of JDM and USDM....personally I would say in US it's 3rd gen and Japan 4th gen...but ?????
i still don't see where you're getting another model, though.
the 4th gen is referring to the engine, not the car. Toyota afficianados use Mk or 'Mark' as referrence to the model. 'Gen' is usually a honduh or dsm or rx-7 thing.
Ok, well that right there clears everything up.I thought the JDM version that used the CT20 was another generation. especially since they stopped in the US in '95 and made them in japan for a few more years with different turbo/hp..duh,I've been out of crack for 3 days now !! thanks
