red - hot
black - ground

The 3rd wire gets tapped into the BLUE wire on the O2 sensor.
In order to get a solid read on the gauge, it needs to be soldered.

A few things to note:

1. It is normal for the graph to "bounce" at idle and cruise.
That is a correct reading

2. This guage will not tell you ANYTHING about your actual air/fuel ratio at throttle.
If your foot is on the gas, then it should just be showing rich. You need a wideband to read the actual A/F for tuning purposes.

3. This gauge is basically only good knowing if your O2 sensor is working and making sure your ECU is undulating fuel at idle/cruise like it should.

... other than that, it is just a pretty light show.
