'91 Turbo--need advice about motor running poorly...
Here is the story:
I parked my turbo about 4 weeks ago with a dead battery. Before this the car was running fine. Now that I got the car running again I'm having an unusual problem. The car runs like normal up to about 5,000rpm and at that point the motor sounds like a "machine gun". The car no longer makes power, it just makes that noise. There is no jerking felt. I have about 1,000 miles or less on the wires, plugs, cap and rotor (and they appear fine). I checked the timing of the motor and it is normal. I can't find anything disconnected (electrical or vacuum). I am currently running 105 octane. I feel like it's timing or spark problem but everything seems to check out, so basically I'm stumped.
If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate your help.
